ADHD exercise for Focus and reducing Skin picking Urges
Here’s an easy physical exercise you can do that will make you calm and focused, fast. You can follow along with me in the video until you know the sequence of 5 movements or poses.
Why would you want to do that? Because when we're feeling anxious or scattered, that we tend to go for these nervous, unconscious kind of behaviors like skin picking, hair pulling, nail biting etc. So it can be really helpful to reset yourself and get calm and focused quickly.
There are other ways to get calm and focused, but they usually entail sitting still, things like breathing exercises or meditation. The great thing about this exercise is you don't have to be still for it to help you calm down and get in a more focused state. A lot of times people find it really hard to sit still when they're antsy, overstimulated or unfocused.
In those times, being still is the last thing you feel like you can do, right? So a more active way to get in a calm, focused state is essential.
If you relate to this, check out the video and do the simple exercise with me.
