Last month I was a faculty member at Christina Pearson’s Heart and Soul Academy Retreat, where I met these three big-hearted individuals who have all suffered from skin picking and who all volunteer their time to Heart and Soul and / or the Trichotillomania Learning Center (TLC).
This is an edit of a periscope broadcast in which I speak with Dana Flores, member of the board of directors of the Trichotillomania Learning Center (TLC) about what she’s learned over the years of attending TLC conferences and retreats.
This is a short one that is packed with value – Dana has some unique tips for you that I’ve never heard elsewhere:
This one is an edit of a periscope broadcast recorded the last morning of the retreat, just before we left. Here I speak with Jackie about all her best tips to control picking at her cuticles. From cuticle creams to aromatherapy to play dough to driving gloves, she is chock-full of useful tools and how to implement them. We even discussed brain science and how when our bodies are still but are brains are going, in class, or when bored, our hands need to be moving for our brains to work in a focused manner:
Finally, this is a lengthier periscope broadcast I did with a man with skin picking disorder. We chatted about the retreat, our histories of skin picking, the difference between men and women who do skin picking behaviors, and some great tips specifically for men struggling with skin picking:
